Introduction NAREGI middleware was developed by the National Research Grid Initiative (usually referred to as NAREGI). For details about NAREGI middleware, refer to http://www.naregi.org/. 2. Installation Procedure NAREGI middleware is installed using the rpm packages (except some components). First, the user runs an installation program on one computing node; then, the installation program accesses our download server to download the program packages and installs the packages to other computing nodes. For details of the installation procedure, refer to NAREGI Middleware Installation Guide. Before the installation using the rpm package, the user needs to make preparations such as definition of server configuration. For details of the procedure, refer to "2.1 Preparations and Points to be Checked" in the NAREGI Middleware Installation Guide. 3. Major New Functions - CentOS 5.4 full support CentOS/x86_64 architecture is added to the support OS in all NAREGI middleware nodes exclude UMS node, refer to "1.2.2 Support OS and Local Scheduler" in the "NAREGI Middleware Installation Guide V 1.1.". CentOS/x86_64 architecture is supported in Gfarm 2.3.1 nodes also, refer to "Gfarm Version 2.3.1 RPM packages for NAREGI Middleware Version 1.1.5 Release Notes" 4.
